Market News

Hello!

We have a new item in the Market this week. Fresh baked baguettes from Dozen bakery!
Dozen bakery is opening a storefront location, and now has an oven and the capacity to supply us with fresh bread on a weekly basis. In the coming weeks, look for whole wheat country loaves and a whole wheat sandwich bread. This week, we have Dozen’s artisan style fresh baguettes! Get yourself some cheese from The Bloomy Rind and have a wonderful feast!
Even if you have already placed an order, you can go back and order again.

We also have a nice selection of winter veggies still available – especially beets!

Stay warm!!

Thanks so much for your support, and we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!

John and Tallahassee

Princeton Farm Fresh:  The Market is Open

I will be continuing on with the series today of How to Start/Support Your Local Food Movement. This week I would like to touch on the notion of being a sales representative for your local farmers.
As we get new customers I often ask how they heard of us, and about 90% of the time it is by word of mouth. They heard it straight from YOU, our loyal customers. That just warms my heart! I will be getting new postcards soon and I would love it, if you could pass them out to your friends, family and acquaintances. This will help us grow our local foods movement. Of course we are always looking for new farmers too, and I would welcome the chance to talk to anyone that is growing or producing food in our local communities.
This Friday Ray and I will be celebrating 22 years of marriage. Hannah and Jonah have offered to run the market so that we can have dinner out. I know I am leaving you in their capable hands. See you on Friday,
Angela

Joyful Noise Acres Farm:  Don't forget! Ordering ends at 8:00 tonight.

Don’t forget to place your orders for this week…and don’t forget to finish checking out to get the confirmation that your order was completed.
This is the last week to sign up for the Fermentation class. I was able to try several of the foods Marty will be bringing on Saturday and they were delicious. This class is going to be such a blessing. Please try to come, this is a class on food preservation and health. Two for one.
Take care,
Mary Beth

“So in this slice of bread there is sunshine, there is cloud, there is the labor of the farmer, the joy of having flour, and the skill of the baker and then, miraculously!, there is the bread.” – Thich Nhat Hanh How to Eat

Tullahoma Locally Grown:  What do you see when you eat?

“When you put a piece of fruit into your mouth, all you need is a little bit of mindfulness to be aware: “I am putting a piece of apple in my mouth.” Your mind doesn’t need to be somewhere else. If you’re thinking of work while you chew, that’s not eating mindfully. When you pay attention to the apple, that is mindfulness. Then you can look more deeply and in just a very short time you will see the apple seed, the beautiful orchard and the sky, the farmer, the picker, and so on. A lot of work is in that apple!" – Thich Nhat Hanh How to Eat

Double Tree Farms has sweet potatoes and filet mignon back on the market!
