GROWER & MARKET NOTES

WELCOME NEW VENDORS!

We are pleased to announce the addition of JBW Farms and TranQuil Pastures Farm to our Market family. Please check them out on our Grower Page.

Speaking of Growers – if you check the Market Page and the Grower Page you’re sure to notice that not all our growers have products listed. This is because some only offer seasonal items or have suspended sales because of inventory, vacation or any number of reasons. In the case of
Restoration Gardens they are in the process of moving. We will miss them! Their fairy tale eggplant was the BEST! Eagle Grove Services will start listing in a few weeks as their satsumas ripen.

Whatever the case we encourage our customers and vendors to get to know each other and interact! Next Saturday’s Fall Festival is a great opportunity to do that as several of our vendors will be on site next to the Butterfly House. They are hoping you’ll stop to visit.

Locally Grown STT:  The Online Farmers Market is open again!!

Good Morning!

Welcome back to the St Thomas Online Farmers Market!

Our mission is to directly connect you with local produce available in your community.

We want to you to have access to fresh, living foods this season by connecting you with local producers and value added producers.

We want all Virgin Islands residents to be Food Secure! Especially during these times. And connecting you with local produce is how we do it.

Some reminders and new information. This season, pick up is on THURSDAYs and we are extending pick up time to 6PM. So pick up time is now 3:30p-6pm to better accommodate those who get off of work around 5p.

Membership renewals! It’s about that time for many. So when you place your next order, you may see a membership renewal fee on there.

What’s in season? Remember with being a specific niche market of locally grown produce, you will see a lot more seasonality than a grocery store. So remember to try new things, and check back often as growers update their listings every week. If you need some help figuring out how to get into the swing of a localvore, try buying the Farmers Market Mystery Box where our market coordinator puts together an order for you with recipe ideas.

New form of payment accepted! We can now receive WIC coupons until end of November! The WOC program is doing a new offering tis season where in addition to recipients getting their vouchers, this fall season they are getting Local Produce Coupons that can be used at our farmers market. I’m addition to this, we now accept VENMO to @QueSeraFarms.

Thank you for shopping local! We love good food and know you will too.

Market stays open from Fridays 9 p.m. until at least 9 p.m. Mondays!

Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m.

If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION right after you order then your order is NOT complete. Log back in and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.

COVID19: Thanks for recognizing we can all do our part in operating in the safest way possible. Be on the lookout for the order reminder email with any changes to pickup or ways you can help minimize risk for our volunteers and each other. Thanks for your support!*

Heritage Farm :  Farm Truck is rolling!!!!! Order Now!!

All,

Store is open!!!! I guess most of you thought we had disappeared completely from the farming scene but the fact is we just have not had an opportunity to set up processing schedules and such. With all the Covid 19 setbacks, USDA schedules and other events in our own family life we have had a really difficult time getting a schedule put together!

One of the things we love about fall is that things start to slow down a bit and it gives us time to get reorganized and reset for the upcoming seasons.

We have solidified a spot on the USDA calendar for mid-October so we will be restocking our beef supply and are planning a farm truck run towards the end of October or first of November. Exact delivery date will be posted in the coming weeks so keep your eyes open as we would love to see all of you soon!!

Feel free to order now and we will pack and hold for you until next delivery.

Happy Fall Yall!!!

Thanks,
The Hutchins Family
